This is an interview...done by a friend of mine here...

Q) Hello Wise, I am doing a small interview with you because I would like to get to know more about you.

B) There isn’t much to know.

Q) I see…anyway, mind if I ask you a few questions?

B) Ask away.

Q) How are you holding up in the Norwich University Corps of Cadets?

B) Depends on what area. Physically, I am doing good enough. I think I did something to my shoulder, and I busted my knee a few weeks ago. In other areas I am going good as well.

Q) Do you often keep in contact with friends back home?

B) *Sigh*…I try, but I don’t get much in the way of responses.

Q) Ah, is that difficult for you?

B)Very much so. I hate the distance and the lack of communication.

Q) Are there days that you wish you never came here?

B) Every day I wish that.

Q) I see…but you are excited for Thanksgiving Break?

B) YES. I have several countdown applications on my computer, and I am always thinking of ways to keep myself busy. Tonight for example, I am going to my Judo class, but beforehand, I am going there a bit early with some of my Rook buddies and we are going to practice bagpipe stuff instead of just sitting around the barracks. Besides, the less time with the Cadre, the BETTER.

Q) Haha…yes, this is true. What are you looking forward to the most over vacation?

B) Hmm…well, I guess I am looking forward to be in my own Church and see my friends there, and HOPEFULLY, I will be able to see some friends from school…if I get any chance to do this, I will be the happiest person alive.

Q) I take it that friends are a big part of your life?

B) A VERY big part.

Q) Well this is all for now. Do you mind if I come back?

B) Sure...come back…I’m here 24/7…unfortunately.

My number is 802-485-0317

I'm On my Way! :-D

10 days left this song is now the way I feel and hope...but I have a bad feeling about this break...and when I have a bad feeling...usually something bad does happen...why must there be a dark cloud on the horizon?

Tell everybody I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
With blue skies ahead, yes I'm on my way
And there's no where else that I'd rather be

Tell everybody I'm on my way
And I'm loving every step I take
With the sun beatin' down, yes I'm on my way
And I can't keep this smile off my face

'Cause theres nothing like seein' each other again
No matter what the distance between
And the stories that we tell will make you smile
Oh it really lifts my heart

So tell 'em all I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
And to sleep under the stars and could ask for more
With the moon keeping watch over me

Not the snow not the rain can change my mind
The sun will come out wait and see
And the feeling of the wind in your face can lift your heart
Oh, there's no where I would rather be

'Cause I'm on my way now
Well and truly
I'm on my way now

I'm on my way now(x3)

Tell everybody I'm on my way
And I just can't wait to be there
With blue skies ahead yes I'm on my way
And nothing but good times to share

So, tell everybody I'm on my way
And I just can't wait to be home
With the sun beating down yes I'm on my way
And nothing but good times to show

I'm on my way
Yes, I'm on my way

Time after Time...

Dear readers,

Hullo and good night.

A lot ( Ok...not really a lot) of things have been going on up here in the Middle of Nowhere. First of all...I had another Ball that I attended. This time, I went to the Navy/Marine Corps Ball...it was a MILLION times better than the Regimental Ball...but still not complete...Yet again, I was alone...then I was joined by a couple of Corporals...and we talked. It was nice.

The Ceremonies started, and of course there was the AWESOME bagpipes being played...the Marine's Hymn of course. Then the best part was when several rooks decided to replay the Iwo Jima scene...and after the scene was completed, "I'm Proud to be an American" played...a very touching song...perfect for the occasion. Then dinner commenced...and this was VERY good. Some type of chicken and steak with Burgundy Mushroom and Wine sauce, garlic mashed potatoes...and stuff like that...and a coffee or two, of course.

Then the very awesome danicng started, they started with the old classics...Electric Slide, Locomotion, and several other cool songs...then they moved into the newer hippity-hoppity junk that I have no care for. After a few songs of utter blahness...they moved into the couples songs...and this is where I had to sit out...as I had no one to dance with...and at this point, I left as there was no point in staying for the rest.

Besides the NMCB, Us "Rooks" have completed our "Basic Training"...Yipee...all that means is that we get a little ribbon to wear on our class B's...but not until we have the privilege...so that doesn't really mean anything...to get this...we had to kill ourselves...Yes, that means I am dead...just kidding. Anyway, to get this piece of cloth we had to....

A: Play tug of War with Upperclassmen...we lost every time
B: Pull a Truck some many yards...uphill for the first 1/3 of the course
C: As a group carry Rail Road ties some many yards before another company does...we won our match.
D: DO stupid pull ups...we died in that.
E: Carry a bunch of heavy gear for 20 minutes...that hurt.

Besides all of this wonderful stuff, there is still the fact that Thanksgiving break starts in 12 days...I am sort of happy about this...I mean yes, it will be wonderful, but there are some things that I wonder about...and will probably find out during Break...very nerve wracking...

I don't really know what I am going to do all week...I guess I will play things by ear...I will see if several friends can get together sometime and do something...I don't know...it is hard to see what people are doing...especially when they don't reply to any means of contact.

That is all for now...I will blog again...maybe later tonight...
